About Elizabeth Samuell (Owner)

Working with people is my passion. I love the fantasy we create using costumes, props and imagination. Old West photography takes us back to the era of victorian elegance, wild women, and rough, tough cowboys. I love taking a client into a place they rarely go. We use costumes to let them be whomever they desire. Often times families play and have fun like children playing dress up.

For 25 years, our process has allowed us to provide you with instant portraits as a memento of your Durango vacation or lifestyle.

About Benjamin Martinez (General Manager)

In January of 2007 I was welcomed to the team at Thru The Lens. I have previous experience working in the commerical photography industry, but my true passion lies in working with people. My role is to add a splash of candid charm to the already successful tradition of photography at Thru The Lens. To me it is personality that creates phenomenal images.
